Per Erik Bergh is our
Operations Director based in Southern Africa. His excellent skills in
project development and management, personnel management, financial planning
and control and training underpinned the success of our Namibia portfolio –
a large diverse portfolio of projects including more than 35 employees -
that he managed for 8 years. Mr. Bergh specialises in the design,
implementation and development of fisheries MCS systems, training and
maritime affairs. He has experience from a wide range of situations and
countries covering both large scale highly technical and small scale
simplistic approaches to MCS. He is regularly used by the Food and
Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) for training and
promotion of the Code of Conduct for responsible Fisheries and fisheries MCS
collaborations. Mr. Bergh’s expertise is based on a background from the
Royal Norwegian Navy and Coastguard followed by more than twelve years of
international work in the fields of fisheries and maritime development and
collaboration. Mr.
Bergh was also appointed the Norwegian
Honorary
Consul General to Botswana in 2005. |
