Nordenfjeldske Development Services AS (NFDS) was founded in 1991 in Norway
as a fully independent company. We offer a variety of services natural
resource and project
management with a strong focus on training and building partnerships.
Our Head Office is in Stavanger, Norway, we have an African Office in
Gaborone, Botswana and satellite offices in Mozambique and Namibia. The
offices are run by core teams of dedicated technical and administrative
personnel.
The
success of the company is reflected in its regular ranking among Norway’s
most reliable and credit worthy companies and its accreditation by the World
Bank and Asian Development Bank.
The
NFDS team consists of a combination of permanently employed staff, currently
11, associate consultants who frequently work for the company and our larger
and more diverse team of Group colleagues. The team is highly motivated and
provides a strong capability in field work, project development and project
management allowing us to tackle a wide range of fishery, maritime and
environmental
challenges in traditional and innovative ways. NFDS’s corporate knowledge
and experience cover a large geographical area and a variety of project
types and sizes. NFDS and its team have established successful records with
major development organisations and successful partnerships with our
international clients.
Today
our strategy is to focus on consulting and development services covering
worldwide resource management and fisheries projects and associated training
. We aim to do this in two ways; firstly by procuring and successfully
implementing international, national and regional tenders; and secondly by
building partnerships with our clients to facilitate the design, development
and implementation of projects to strengthen their capacity to manage their
natural resources. |
